U-city is a city that ubiquitous technology, u-city infrastructure and service are realized in specially designated space. In legal aspects u-city is defined as condition that every subject can control the sphere of management and perform tasks or live conveniently. After material facility are installed, operation and information protection are regulated mainly. Therefore, we have to understand that u-city is not constructed but realized in principle.
To support u-city realization, device of a master plan, establishment of connection system that manages u-city infrastructure integrally and analyzes relevant information totally, proprietor of u-city infrastructure, the relation between u-city infrastructure and social infrastructure have to be discussed.
According to the application of a law(established cities or new cities), U-city Support Act can be changed in essential respect. Besides, an intelligence network that constitutes u-city, management center, conflict of attribution between local government and management center can come into question.
The relation between home-network and u-city, the Administration’s an information-oriented policy, active role and information protection are mentioned as the problem with u-city.
In the last section, the Ministry of Information and Communication’s U-city Support Act bill and provision explanations are introduced.
