The purpose of this paper is to examine Korean correspondence for the history dispute between Korea and China. The Korean correspondence was sorted in three times. That is, 1) from July 2003 to June 2004, 2) from July 2004 to August 2006, 3) before and after September 2006.
When China distorted the history of Goguryeo, the Korean strongly criticized it in the first time. Because the mass media made an issue of history distortion. A history dispute between Korea and China spread greatly in the second time. Though a verbal mutual understanding made ends meet between the two countries, but that was not able to block the diffusion of the history dispute. While a history dispute spread, the Korean looked at China in the object of the menace. Strain between the two countries rose in the third time, but the correspondence plan was groped for a middle long term, too. That is, Korean correspondence was changing from "History War" to "History Diplomacy".
