In this study, corrosion current density was measured in tendon buried in wet sand and corrosion probability was evaluated thro ugh MCS (Monte-Carlo Simulation). For the work, random variables were defined as chloride concentration (0.0, 0.125, and 0.25 mol/l), critical corrosion density (10 and 30 μA/㎠), and exposure period (28 weeks). Regarding corrosion density, the higher results than critical threshold were measured in high chloride concentration conditions (0.125 and 0.25 mol/l) except for control case (0.0 mol/l). Furthermore, the higher corrosion probability was remarkably simulated in the condition with lower critical corrosion density a nd higher chloride concentration. COV (coefficient of variation) was a key parameter for corrosion probability simulation and higher corrosion probability was evaluated in the ransom variables with higher COV. However the corrosion probability was decreasing w hen measured results was higher critical threshold in the higher chloride concentration, which was already evaluated to be active corrosion condition. In the test, constant chloride concentration was used and the corrosion probability was simulated with the results. The simulation of corrosion probability for increasing chloride concentration from outside is necessary and data base for corrosion test is also required for determination of reasonable COV of design parameter.
